Dr Michael Uchenna Uzoigwe is from Umuegbarike, Umudibo, Amorji, Nenwe. He is a seasoned international development expert with over 18 years of experience in the space. He has worked as a consultant for several international organizations including USAID, UKaid, the World Bank, and the European Union. He was formerly the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Country Manager for Anglophone and Lusophone Africa.
Dr Uzoigwe is a graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and University of Birmingham, UK where he obtained his masters and doctorate in International Development.
Dr Uzoigwe has been involved in numerous community development projects in Nenwe. He loves to be engaged in any activity that is geared towards the progress and unity of Nenwe. He is the Vice President of Nenwe Integrity Foundation (NIF). He also serves in a number of committees on specific issues related to the development of Nenwe. His vision is a rapidly developing, peaceful, strong and united Nenwe that offers a welcoming, comfortable and homely atmosphere for its indigenes and visitors alike.
He is married and blessed with three children
